About Salesforce
The Salesforce interface is known for its user-friendly design, emphasizing efficiency and ease of use. It features a customizable dashboard that provides quick access to various functions such as customer information, sales opportunities, and performance metrics. The platform utilizes a tab-based structure, allowing users to navigate smoothly between different areas such as leads, accounts, contacts, and reports. Its design supports customization and integration with other applications, enabling businesses to tailor the platform to their specific needs and workflows, thereby enhancing overall productivity and user experience.
Problem Statement
The company's goal on the Salesforce website is to offer a good customer experience during sales and manage client information efficiently. Sales representatives need to be efficient at the time of purchase with a good UX experience on the Salesforce platform. For this project, we have to design with an 85/15% rule, where 15% of the design can be custom, and the other percent should use the standard salesforce objects. This rule was imposed to reduce development time.
Solution
Redesign the Salesforce website layout on the homepage, focusing on displaying comprehensive metrics and general information to track company engagement progress effectively. Understanding the critical need for sales teams to have immediate access to key metrics and insights to drive their engagement strategies, I spearheaded the effort to enhance the layout for maximum usability and data visibility. Implemented graphics and icons, this results in better data management, streamlined processes, and more efficient customer interactions. Also reduce training time for new users, increase adoption rates, and ultimately improve customer satisfaction through faster and more effective service delivery.

User Journey

First user testing
Our team executed a detailed user testing session with over 25 participants, following which I spearheaded a card-sorting activity to delve deeper into the feedback. This methodical approach allowed us to uncover recurring themes and issues with the old layout, directly from the users' perspectives. By analyzing these insights, we aimed to grasp the users' challenges and preferences more profoundly, setting a solid foundation for enhancing the website's usability and overall user experience.

Low Fi
To address user feedback, I implemented a three-column layout to ensure all essential information is immediately visible. Additionally, graphics and icons were introduced to aid comprehension. The information was organized into different tabs for better structure, eliminating redundant fields and categorizing content by type for more intuitive navigation and clearer understanding.


User Testing
After conducting four rounds of user testing, the final session was carried out with a larger group of 20 participants. This comprehensive approach allowed for a more diverse range of feedback, enhancing the depth and breadth of insights gathered to refine and optimize the user experience.

Design Changes
After extensive testing and iterations, the most effective updates included reverting to a two-column layout, integrating AI to offer users tips for enhancing their opportunities and leads, incorporating quick links for easier navigation, and displaying related items on the right side instead of using tabs. These adjustments significantly improved user experience and engagement.
1- Key Fields - Leads
I enhanced the user interface by incorporating additional fields within the progress bar, allowing users to input necessary information directly without the need to scroll. This streamlined approach significantly reduces the time users spend searching for input fields, improving data entry efficiency.

2- Key Fields, Topics, Eintein Score (AI) - Opportunities
I introduced crucial enhancements to the progress bar by integrating key fields for easier data entry, implementing Einstein AI to assist in evaluating and improving opportunities, and adding a topic search feature for quick information retrieval and opportunity tagging. These improvements aim to streamline the process and boost efficiency.

3- Tabs, Graphics - Account
Graphics were enhanced for a quick overview, organizing items by frequency of use, with the most utilized ones positioned to the right and others categorized in tabs for efficient access and navigation.

4- Home
The homepage was enhanced with additional graphics to display key information, highlight trending topics, and provide an overview of opportunity and lead metrics. Recent items and upcoming events sections were added for easy access. To gather user feedback on the interface and general Salesforce functionality, a survey feature was also integrated, inviting users to share their experiences and suggestions for improvements.
